Yerba mate Piporé is a traditional yerba mate with sticks and has a strong taste. In guaraní 'PI' means foot, 'PO' means hands and 'RE' means footprints. Together they form the word Piporé. The word means that according to legend, the chief Santos made an indelible impression on the banks of the river with the prints of his hands and feet. As a result, he was baptized by the Jesuits with the name Santo PIPO.
Yerba mate Piporé is stored for about 12 months. It contains a low percentage of sticks.
Pipere Yerba Mate, is the main product in southern Patagonia.
