Winemaking:
The grapes from old vines were taken to the winery
in plastic boxes. On arrival in the winery they were rigorously
inspected on a sorting table. The grapes with their stems were then
slightly crushed and transferred to a traditional stone tank (“lagar”)
where they were foot trodden. After this, the grape spirit was added to
stop the fermentation and fortify the wine.

Tasting Notes:
It's
a wine resulted of a blend of old cask aged ports matures at Quinta da
Pacheca cool and tranquil cellar. Here, over many years of ageing, the
wine takes on its amber tawny colour, slowly developing the complex
flavours and the mouth luscious palate. Rich and elegant nose with a
delicate nuttiness and subtle mellow notes of chocolate, butterscotch
and fine oak wood.
Store and Serve Advices:
Store horizontally at a ± 15º C, constant temperature. Best served at 15 - 18ºC.
Food Pairing:
It can be drink fresh, like an aperitif or at the end of a meal with cheese or chocolate desserts.
