PERi-PERi Sauces        

Delicious with almost  anything, Nando's range of PERi-PERi sauces combine flavor with varying  degrees of heat that will satisfy   the flavor profile from a PERi-PERi  beginner to a fiery heat seeker.   There is something in our range for all PERi-PERi fanatics!

PERi-PERi Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:


  • 2 tbsp PERi—PERi sauce

  • 10oz milk

  • 5 tbsp sharp cheddar cheese (grated)

  • 3 tbsp mozzarella (grated)

  • 4 tbsp dried breadcrumbs

  • 2 tsp cornflour

  • 2 tsp parmesan (grated)

  • 1 cup macaroni pasta

  • 1 red onion

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Pinch of salt

  • Small handful of parsley

Method:        


  1. Preheat oven to 425°f. Fry onion with a pinch of salt in hot oil until slightly soft, then remove from pan.

  2. Using  the same pan, add milk and bring to the boil. Mix the cornflour with   20ml water and slowly add to the milk continuously, whisking. Once sauce  is thick, add the cheese, then PERi-PERi sauce and mix.

  3. Meanwhile  cook the pasta until al dente in salted boiling water, drain, and add to the sauce. Mix together and pour into a casserole dish.

  4. Place  onion petals on the pasta. Sprinkle cheese, then scatter breadcrumbs. Bake for 10-1 5 mins, remove from oven, sprinkle with parsley and serve.
