The Baron Edmond by Rupert & Rothschild from the South African wine-growing region of Stellenbosch is an excellent, harmonious and expressive red wine cuvée that is vinified from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
In the glass, this wine shimmers in a deep crimson with dark red highlights. The nose is skilfully entered by a seductive bouquet. Fruity aromas of raspberries, blackcurrants and plums are presented and are perfectly complemented by vegetal hints of nettle and fresh coriander. This South African red wine convinces on the palate with wonderfully silky tannins, which are accompanied by notes of cranberries and dark chocolate. The long finish rounds off this wine perfectly.
